NOECA's Apprenticeship and Training Program is regarded as the best in the business; it is nationally certified by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training and State Apprenticeship Councils. Classrooms provide hands-on learning with instructors who are dedicated to helping students understand and anticipate the skills they will need to succeed on the job.

The Training and Apprenticeship Program helps its participants and their employers meet the needs of a changing industry. Coursework and instruction reflect state-specific regulations and standards set by electrical contractors. Industry experts continuously update the curriculum to ensure the latest technologies are incorporated into training programs. The four year apprenticeship program allow participants to gain the knowledge, technical skills, and practical experience necessary to succeed in today’s electrical trade.

Unlike some school programs, our training is code-based. This means that our students are thoroughly grounded in the “bible? of the electrical industry, the "National Electrical Code? usually abbreviated NEC. The electrical trade is unique amongst almost any other occupation. For one reason, the National Fire Protection Association revises the code every three years. For example, the current NEC contains more than 2000 changes from the previous code. Thus all electricians enter a lifelong cycle of reading and learning every three years. Our expert training teaches you not only to know the code but also how to read and understand the code so that your future code learning is easier and more meaningful. You will have an invaluable base from which to launch a great career.
